What ECC Beliefs are

One God in three persons

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, they are co-equal in honor and power. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13: 14)

 

Creation

We believe that everything was created by God and nothing existed before God. Man was created by God in His image and likeness. 

(Genesis 1; Hebrews 3:4; Romans 1:20)

Jesus-Christ

We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man. He was born from a virgin and lived a sinless life on earth. He died and he was resurrected on the third day. (Luke 1: 26-35; Isaiah 7: 14)

 

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, He is the source of spiritual truth. He is the source of power for the church and the believers of Jesus.

(John 14: 16-17; Acts 1: 8; Acts 2: 4)

Salvation

We believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus make it possible for all who put their trust in Jesus to gain salvation. Salvation is the gift of God to all people of all backgrounds and colors. It is received through repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, by which we obtain forgiveness of sins. (Ephesians 2: 8-9; Hebrews 9:12; Romans 5: 11)

Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is a non-negotiable ordinance that all believers of Jesus Christ must do as a public declaration of their faith in Jesus.

(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2: 37-39; Acts 19: 1-6)

Eternal Life

All people who believe in Jesus Christ and confess that He is Lord will receive eternal life and join Christ for eternal joy. Those who reject Jesus as Lord will suffer eternal consequences of separation from God.

(John 3: 16; Romans 3:23; Matthew 24: 31-46)

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God. It is not simply a history book; the Bible contains God’s story. A story of creation, redemption, and salvation. The Bible is free from error and is inspired by God.
